SOUTH BOSTON - Audrey Mann Parker, born May 12, 1922 in Bellepoint, WV, bid farewell on Tuesday, November 10, 2015. She moved to Virginia with her family as a young woman, and married and raised her children in Newport News. She always considered Newport News as her home. Audrey is survived by her five children, Joanne Evans, David Evans (Blanche), Rebecca Holt (Ranny), Stephen Evans (Phyllis), and Judith Evans; five grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Austin Parker; her grandson Sidney James Evans; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Stanfield Evans; and her son-in-law Thomas L. Godfrey, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 2:30, Sunday, November 15, 2015 at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home with a funeral service immediately following at 2:30 PM. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
