Helen Louise Alberty, age 90, of Eccles, WV passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 after a short illness. Mrs. Alberty was a former employee of Raleigh General Hospital in the housekeeping department. She was a member of Eccles Church of God.
She was born on August 15, 1930 at Eccles to the late Frank Philera Aliff (1903-1976) and Helen "Faye" Bennett-Aliff (1912-1973). She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Carson Roberts (1933-Deceased) whom she married on December 5, 1954 in Eccles, Raleigh County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Raleigh County, WV, 1954, Page 548, Application Date: December 1, 1954); her second husband, Arthur "Bill" Walter Alberty (1937-1996); and her siblings, Joetta Aliff-Smith (1932–2002), Pauline Frankie Aliff (1933–1950), and Donald Ray Aliff (1935–2000).
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Jackie Roberts & wife Lois Roberts of Eccles, with whom she made her home, Douglas Roberts & wife Edith Roberts of Scarbro, Frankie Roberts & wife Teresa Roberts of Meadow Bridge; six grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Tuesday, October 6 2020 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Tommy Craft officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.
