The funeral of the late Mr. Wm. H. H. Hodges took place yesterday morning from the family residence on Middle Street at 11 o'clock, in the presence of a large concourse of the friends and relatives of the deceased. The services were conducted by the Rev. J. D. Powell, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church, in the absence of Rev. Bevedy Estill, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, of which Mr. Hodges was a vestryman. After the reading of the beautiful and solemn burial service according to the impressive ritual of the Episcopal prayer book. Afterwards the remains were placed in the hearse and followed by a long cortege of carriages, were conveyed to their last resting place in the family burial ground at Hodges Ferry, on the Western Branch, where the deceased was laid away until the last trump shall call the good to their eternal reward. The following gentleman acted as pall bearers: Messrs. James T. Borum, B. A. Armistead, Washington Reed, Joseph Burke, William G. Maupin and Col. D. J. Goodwin.
