A lifetime Kansas City resident Joanne was born on July 3 1 929. For 23 years she worked at the Marillac Center for Children as the Assistant until her retirement in February 2002. She was fondly referred to as Marillac' and she will be sadly missed by the Marillac family. Joanne was a member of St Thomas More Catholic Church the Ladies of Charity and the Marillac Ladies Auxiliary. Preceding her in death were her parents Thomas and Elnora Corless and her daughter Sue Ann Bames. Left behind to mourn her loss is her husband of 50 yeas Forrest Barnes daughter and son-in-law Amy and Marc Gagne of Greenwood Missouri and two granddaughters, Allysson and Celeste Gagne.
