Linda Gayle (Hayes) Bibby, 74, of Northport, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 11:00 am at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel with Dr. Dennis Atchenson officiating with burial to follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 on Tuesday, September 29, and 30 minutes prior to the service on Wednesday.
Gayle was born on April 22, 1946, to George and Clara Mae (Burkhalter) Hayes. She graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1964. While she was well-known for her overall cooking skills, her peanut brittle was a special treat. She was loved by many and will be missed - especially by great-granddaughters Emma and Bradleigh. They spent many hours with Nanny - learning how to wash dishes, fold laundry, and bake muffins along with other life lessons that will serve them well in life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the donor's favorite charity.
