Perry L. Adams, 75, of 1920 Winchester Ave., died Thursday at 10:45 a.m. at Mercy Hospital, where he had been a patient 17 days. He had been in ill health the past year.
He was born in New Castle, Ind., on Feb. 10, 1890, son of Charles and Lillie Adams, and as a young man went to Indianapolis where he was married on Nov. 6, 1919, to Miss Lillian R. Baumgart, who preceded him in death on Nov. 24, 1957. On July 16, 1960, he was married to Mrs. Irene L. Scheinert.
Mr. Adams came to Oshkosh in 1934 from Toledo, and had been employed as a superintendent by Rockwell-Standard Corp. until his retirement. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Men's Club of the church, National Exchange Club and American Society of Tool Engineers.
Surviving are his wife, Irene; one daughter, Mrs. Floyd Wambold, Oshkosh; one son, Richard L. Adams, Appleton; and one brother, Forrest Adams, Indianapolis.
Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Marquardt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Walter H. Moll, pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. today until the hour of services.
