Mary Louise Mattingly, 81, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2003, at her residence. Mary was a homemaker. She was a charter member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William "Dee" Mattingly, Evansville, IN; daughter and son-in-law, Judie Ann & Jerry Turner, Evansville, IN; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy Charles & Melissa Mattingly, Evansville, IN, Michael J. & Elaine Mattingly, Evansville, IN, and Donald & Kim Mattingly, Evansville, IN; daughter-in-law, Karen Mattingly-Brucken and her spouse, Paul; sister, Lou Carney, Evansville, IN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur H. & Thelma Hofmann, Naples, FL, and Charles & Anna Hofmann, Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Lydia Mueller, Tom Turner, Terri Calhoun, Michelle Head, Jill Dezember, Erin Mattingly, Will Mattingly, Chris Mattingly, Kelly Mattingly, Taylor Mattingly, Preston Mattingly and Jordon Mattingly; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Mattingly, who died in 1969; an infant daughter, Mary Theresa Mattingly; parents, Hazel & Arthur Hofmann; and two sisters, Pauline Rodrigues and Beverly Napier. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2003, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., continued at 9:30 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Burial will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery.
