Mrs. Matt Thomsen Holtzman died at her home near Portsmouth this, Thursday, morning after an illness of one week with the Spanish Flu. The funeral services will be held at Portsmouth Friday and her remains layed to rest in the Avoca cemetery.
Mrs. Holtzman will be remembered as Miss Bertha Thomsen. She was born and raised on the farm of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Thomsen northwest of Avoca.
