Mrs. Alene Bean Hedrick 91, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020 following several months of declining health.
Alene was born in High Point, September 9, 1928, a daughter of the late Houston and Lillie Marion Bean. She owned and operated Alene's Beauty Salon for over thirty years. Alene loved crafts, especially ceramics, and enjoyed traveling and bowling. She was married to James Ralph Hedrick for 69 years until his death in 2015. Alene was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and the Red Hats. She was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Hedrick.

Surviving are four sons, Steve Hedrick, Mark Hedrick and his wife Claudia, David Hedrick and his wife Linda and Tim Hedrick and his wife Pam; grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda, Nick, Sophia, Amy, Mark, Jr., Kim, Jennifer and Leigha; 14 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 11a by Pastor John Stein, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont.
