Achille Christopher Borne, retired custodian for St. Agnes Catholic Church, died Monday at Pontchartrain Guest House in Mandeville after a brief illness. He was 92. Mr. Borne was born in Paincourtville, La., and lived in New Orleans for 47 years. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus Marian Council 3923 and was a parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Simoneaux Borne; three sisters, Sophie Witty, Elma Young and Sister M. Brigid, O.Carm.; and three brothers, Hubert, Charles and Russell Borne.
Funeral services will be today at 11 a.m. at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Mausoleum.
