Obituary - Annals of Sandy Spring, Volume III, Pages 202-203:
On April 19, Isaiah Coar, for many years a resident in Sandy Spring, died at the home of his son John, in Howard County.
He was a mason by trade, and had a hand in the building of many homes here, and his genial manner made him many friends. He was a great reader, and kept himself well informed on the questions of the day.
