Arthur Gurnsey, 75, of 1603 Forest Ave., died of a heart ailment on Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Graveside services at Albion Cemetery, Albion, Iowa.
Born in Conrad, Iowa, he lived in Des Moines since 1934. He was a retired carpet layer.
Survivors include his wife, Marguerite; six sons, Jon of Des Moines, Don of Urbandale, Dennis of Ankeny, Lynn of Beulah, North Dakota, Allan of Spring, Texas, and Dean of Washington, D.C.; four daughters, Jane Connett of Des Moines, Virginia Neades of Council Bluffs, Patricia Siedelmann of Omaha, Nebraska, and Sharon Smith of Grapevine, Texas; four sisters, Gerturde Brindle of Union Grove, Mae Simkins of Willow Springs, Missouri, Maude Sonner of Blythe, California, and Mary Nibley of Roseville, California; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
