Funeral services for Ermadell Tate were held on Friday, the 11th of January 2013 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Natchitoches, Reverend James McDonald served as celebrant. Burial followed in the Calvary Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Tate, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, the 8th of January 2013 at the Louisiana Extended Care Hospital in Natchitoches. She was born on the 15th of April 1934 in Colfax to James and Eunice Buffer. She was a homemaker and loved working in her garden.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Tate; her parents, James and Eunice Buffer; her brother, Calvin Buffer; her sisters, Esther Ammons, Marie Clemons, Betty Hernandez, Agnes Antilley;; and her son, Howard Tate.

She is survived by her children; two sons and daughters; her brother; her sister; her three grandchildren and four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of floral contributions, the family requests that donations in Mrs. Tate's name be made to the Hospice of Natchitoches.

Services were under Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches.
