At some point, she changed her name to Dorothy Cecelia and her youngest sister, who was also named Gertrude, was always referred to as Baby Gertie.
Dottie lived in the Bronx and worked many years for the Western Electric Company. She never married and was devoted to her mother, her sisters, and her nephews and nieces. Dottie bought the Gate of Heaven plot and headstone for her mother. She was predeceased by her parents and her sisters Veronica Josephine and Anna Marie.
