The Gilmore Historian, & the last person to be buried in the Gilmore Cemetery. The last full time resident of Gilmore. Age 72 years. Known as "The Gilmore Kid".Dick as the writer,& with the help of his Bro. Robert Moll the illustrator, were the Gilmore Historians for the past many years. Dick worked tirelessly to do everything to help preserve Gilmore for all to enjoy. I continue Dick's work to help preserve what's left of Gilmore, & it's colorful History. I have recently made info. signs, & posted on many of the old cabins in old Rag town & Shorty's gulch to inform those who visit Gilmore of some of the history & who lived in some of the cabins. I have also made 14 road name signs to let people know what the old street names were in 1910. I recently purchased a rail road crossing sign & Installed it just east of Gilmore so all who visit will know Gilmore had a train, The Gilmore/Pittsburgh RXR. Hopefully this will add a personal touch to each, & help prevent vandalism of our National Historic Treasures. I was able to obtain & install three new Headstones the summer of 2016.One for Reese Dunkin, & one for each Eva & Bill Daley -X.D.L.X

We all chose Black Granite for Dicks headstone, @ about $3300.00 so it could be etched with his Cabin, Liberty Gulch & pine trees.
