Mrs. MINNIE WILDERSON, AREA NURSE, IS DEAD
Mrs. Minnie C. Wilderson, 73, of 14 S. Butts Ave, W. E., wife of Leonard C. Wilderson, died in her home at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, (Jan 27, 1962).
A native of Cambridge, Iowa, she was born Sept. 14, 1888, the daughter of Albert & Irene Sparr (sic) Southwick. Mrs. Wilderson was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Des Moines, Iowa and worked as a private duty nurse in the Jamestown area for 17 years.
She was a volunteer worker in the Red Cross blood bank. Mrs. Wilderson was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Besides her husband, survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Luella Burke, Detroit, Mi., Mrs. Mary Jean Land, Ashmore, Ill., and Mrs. Jessie Bowerman, Whitestone; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Earl Craig, Des Moines.
Rev. George H. Trolley, of the First Baptist Church, will officiate at services to be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. They suggest that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, care of local postmaster.
