Sherman W. Althouse, 86, of Washington Court House, died at 4:05 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 1999, at Auburn Manor in Washington C.H.
He was born December 19,1913, in Ross County, the son of the late Samuel and Louise Rayburn Althouse.
Surviving are his children, Richard (Linda) Althouse, Greenfield, Evelyn (Mike) Dawson, Ronnie (Edith) Althouse, Charlene (andy) Majestic; Gary (Mary) Althouse; Steve A;thouse and Lora (Robert) Helfriech, all of Washington C.H., Jerry (Linda) Althouse , Key Largo, Fl. and Cheree (Mel) Richards, Westerville, Ohio; 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 4 great,great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Shackelford and Marguerite Mustard, both of Washington C.H.; two brothers, Ralph Althouse, Washington C.H., and Virgil (Patsy) Althouse, Greenfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, 1 granddaughter, and one great-grandson.
Mr. Althouse had worked as a farmer.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Fisher-Anderson-Ebright funeral home, Frankfort, with Rev. Don Dillon officiating.. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 p.m..
Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Fayette County.
