Born Francis (Frank) James Kitts on 1 August 1875 one of 10 children to Francis Breason and Elizabeth McDermott Kitts in Goulbourn Township, Carleton, County, Ontario, Canada. In 1880 the family immigrated to Carroll County, Iowa where they lived for some years before moving to the Spokane, Washington area.
In 1899 Frank married Minerva Anna (1879-1948) and lived in the Spokane area where they had 6 children. By 1920 they were living in Silverdale in Kitsap County. Frank died in 1923.
