IDA NELL HOOD was born December 30, 1952, in Henrietta, Texas, to W.G. and Freda Wiest.
Ida passed from this life Saturday, January 8, 2005, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Waurika, Okla., at the age of 52.
She worked for many years as a certified nurses' aide at the Ryan Nursing Home.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Hood, Sr. of Ryan; two sons, Jack Hood, Jr. and John Wayne Hood, both of Ryan; five sisters, Wanda Tasker of Bowie, Texas, Dorthy Vanspreybrok of Iowa Park, Texas, Annie Fults of Bokchito, Okla., Olga Perkins of Frost Burge, Md., and Kathy Lenards of Waurika; and five brothers, Bobby Wiest of Wichita Falls, Texas, Bruce Wiest of Byers, Texas, Freddy Wiest of Charlie, Texas, Jimmy Wiest of Wichita Falls, and Johnny Wiest of Breckenridge, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Graveside services for Mrs. Hood were at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at the Ryan Cemetery, with Rev. Floyd Key officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
