Mrs. Janie Ava Nell Royals, 58, died Monday night (August 1, 2005) at Baptist Village following a brief illness.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. She was the daughter of the late Rufus Lee Corbitt and Nellie Lucille Harrell Corbitt.

She was a former employee of Wal-Mart and the Downtown Sandwich Shoppe. She attended the New Life Assembly of God.

The survivors include her husband, Layton Royals of Waycross; a daughter, Betty James of Waycross; a son, Timothy Royals (wife Brittany) of Lexington, SC; four grandchildren, Brandon James, Zack James, Madelyn Royals, Mason Royals; and two brothers, John Corbitt of Manor, Don Corbitt (wife Mary) of Jack, AL.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday (August 4, 2005) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 7 until 9 o'clock.
