Alfred "Pete" Webb, 86

EAST LIVERPOOL — Alfred "Pete" Webb, 86, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

He was born Feb. 19, 1921, in Century, W.Va., son of the late Frederick and Ruby (Martin) Webb.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving his country in the United States Air Force.

After the war, he worked at Homer Laughlin China Co. and Timet in Toronto, Ohio. He was Methodist in faith, a member of the Newell American Legion, the 40&8, the Masonic Lodge and the Osiris Shriners Temple.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorthea Lance.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby (House) Webb, at home; two sons, Richard (Marsha) Webb of East Liverpool and Craig (Karen) Webb of Rockville, Md.; four grandchildren, Melissa Mangum, Kevin Webb, Dylan Webb and Robert Webb; three great-grandchildren, Audrey Mangum, Austin Webb and Meredith Mangum.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home. Rev. Ethel Dunaway will be officiating. The Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will accord military services.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
