Rose Lee Benad passed away on Jan. 3 at Scott and White Hospital in Round Rock.

She was born on Sept. 26, 1927, to Julius and Herminia Kroschowsky. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Dr. Julius R. Kroschowsky.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harvey L. Benad; son and daughter-in-law Kendall and Bonnie Benad of Monahans; daughter and son-in-law Sandy and Phil Altman of Midland; grandchildren Tammy and husband Shawn Merritt of Gilmer, Heath Altman of Clearwater, Fla., Jana and husband Jim Cowan of Santa Fe, N.M., Amber Benad of Cloudcroft, N.M. and 12 great grandchildren.

Rose Lee Benad graduated from Taylor High School in 1945, worked for attorney Roman Bartosh for many years. She was an avid bridge and poker player – she loved her friends and her cards!

She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was her life.

Services will be held at Condra Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 6, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Brenda Adkins officiating.
