SANDY UT- Rand Hone Clark Died September 12, 2007. He was 82-years-old. Born June 10, 1925 in Provo, Utah, son of Herald Ray Clark and Mable Hone. Rand grew up in Provo Utah. He was a great athlete. He played basketball for Provo High School. After graduation he joined the Navy and was stationed at Dubuque University and Great Lakes Naval Base. He attended Brigham Young University from 1946 to 1949 and played on the Varsity basketball team under Coach Floyd Millet. On August 11, 1947 Rand married Marjorie Jean Hart of Long Beach California in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had four sons, Rand David, Brad Norman, Cary Ray and Douglas Lyman. Rand was an executive with the Howard Hughes organization for 26 years in California then coached tennis on his home court in Northridge California for 17 years. Following the 1994 Northridge earthquake they moved to Pinebrook Park City Utah. In 1998 Rand and Marjorie served an LDS mission to the Historic Sites of the Rochester New York Mission. He is survived by his wife Marjorie and three sons, Brad (Candice), Cary (Elizabeth) and Doug, 16 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Hidden Valley 3rd Ward (11755 South Highland Dr.) Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the ward prior to the service.
Interment, Holladay Memorial Park.
