JOHNSON, Genevieve A. - of Grand Blanc, age 89, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010. A Funeral Service will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Susan Lidums officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church. Genevieve was born in Taylors Falls, MN, daughter of Martin and Jenny (Ulm) Swenson. She had four brothers and three sisters. Genevieve was married to Carl Johnson who retired from Buick Motors. She was a faithful member of Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church. Genevieve was a member of Hurley Health and Fitness where she walked often. She had many talents like knitting, crocheting and was a skillful seamstress. Genevieve enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling and entertaining family and friends. She was a beautiful and thoughtful person with a wonderful sense of humor. Genevieve enjoyed spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by friends and family. Genevieve is survived by her daughter, Sharon Johnson of Grand Blanc; granddaughter, Nichole Taylor of TX; grandson, Brad Johnson of Decatur, IL; great-grandsons, Malcolm Taylor of TX and Christopher Taylor; youngest sister, Shirley Mae Swenson of Taylors Falls, MN; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Johnson in 1993 and son, Charles Johnson of Decatur, IL in 1997
