Margaret Burwell was the daughter of Godfrey Roseberry who died in 1837, burial location unknown. Her mother was Elizabeth Kline/Cline. The birth year listed is an estimate based on various records since no record of her birth or a baptism has been found. She had at least three other siblings, Michael who died in 1867 in Warren County, N.J., Catharine who married Daniel Cowell and Sarah who married Thomas Lombard. The siblings were all named in their Aunt Elizabeth's will listed below.

Her grandparents were Joseph Roseberry and Fanny Roseberry who are buried in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.

She was married to Holloway W. Burwell on August 11, 1849 by Rev. Gray most likely in the church at Greenwich known as Straw Church then and St. James Lutheran Church today.

They had the following known children, Andrew, David, Howard, Frances Celia, Sarah "Sallie"(the name of Mary was incorrectly listed on her death certificate) and William.

According to the U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedules, 1850-1885, she died March 1880 in South Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania of apoplexy.

Margaret was mentioned as deceased in the will of Elizabeth Roseberry Anderson who was a sister to her father, Godfrey and her aunt. Elizabeth made a bequeath of five hundred dollars to the children of Margaret Burwell. Elizabeth specifically mentions her deceased brother, Godfrey's daughter, Margaret who she also lists as deceased and leaves the inheritance to Margaret's children.
