Obit from Sharon-Herald: Gerald "Jerry" Andrew Myers, Sixth Avenue, Hempfield Twp., died at 8 a.m. Friday in Greenville Hospital after a long illness. He was 57. Mr. Myers was born in Butler County Feb. 23, 1914, a son of George H. and Orla Logue Myers. He retired in February from Greenville Steel Car Co. where he had been a shipping clerk for 15 years. Before that, he was employed by Egbert Brothers Furniture Store, Greenville, for 27 years. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Greenville. He belonged to Benevolent Order of Elks No. 145. Surviving besides his widow, the former Florence Schlaich whom he married Sept. 18, 1936 are a daughter, Mrs. William (Barbara) Stables, Greenville, two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Genevieve) Hovis, greenville, and Mrs. Richard (Anna Mae) Guesman, Cortland, Ohio; a brother, Clarence, Conneaut, Ohio and a granddaughter. His parents, a brother Harold, and a sister Georgene, preceded him in death.
