Christian Science funeral services for Bert Jewell, 75, of 4802 42nd Av. S., a retired Renton coal miner, will be held at 1 o’clock tomorrow in the Columbia Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen. Mr. Jewell died Tuesday.
Mr. Jewell, born in Moundsville, Mo., moved with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jewell, to Tacoma in 1888. He went to Isaquah in 1889 and to Renton in 1904. He retired as a coal miner in 1925.
Surviving are his wife, Esther E.; three daughters, Mrs. Viola Worth, Mrs. Margie Simonson and Mrs. Vera Linden; a son, James T. Jewell, and a sister, Mrs. Ira Lee, all of Seattle; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
