Bessie S. Schlereth Obituary

Bessie S. Schlereth, 93, Lancaster Manor Nursing Home, Lincoln, died Saturday morning, Aug. 7, 1999, at the Nursing Home.

She was born June 14, 1906, at Braddyville, Iowa, the daughter of Hiram Boggess and Arminda Burch Boggess. At the age of two months she moved with her family to a farm two miles east of Barada. Later, she moved to Verdon and Salem.

On Jan. 1, 1945, she was married to John W. Schlereth at Hiawatha. He passed away March 9, 1971.

They established their home in Salem when married and then moved to Falls City in 1945. She moved to Lincoln in 1972 and entered the Nursing Home, June 26, 1996.

Mrs. Schlereth is survived by a son, Daryld, and his wife Dolores, and a daughter, Darla Cummings, and her husband, Larry, all of Lincoln; two granddaughters, Krista Scott and Amber Cummings, both of Lincoln, and three great-grand children, Steven Scott, Sierra Scott and Branden Jones all of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, two brothers, Everett Boggess and Merle Boggess, and four sisters, Alice Orr, Mary Larsen, Edith Boggess and Eva Oakes.
