Nancy Sylvia (Rowe) Mead shares a double headstone with her husband, Amos J. MEAD, at Bristow Cemetery in Bristow, Creek Co., OK., but she was never buried there. She died in Conroe, TX and from her death certificate we learn she was buried at Conroe Cemetery [Oakwood] in Conroe, Montgomery Co., TX. Her son, Dennie MEAD was the informant on the death certificate and he lived at 7931 Ave. B in Houston, TX. Dennie, his wife, Annie and Nancy's grandson John Dennie MEAD, are also buried at Oakwood. The burial took place 22 FEB 1936, one day after her death.

There is no definitive proof she is buried at Oakwood, but there was some information online from a source in 2012 that stated:
"Nancy Rowe, wife of Amos, is buried in an unmarked grave in Conroe, TX. It was marked, but the marker and grave curbing sunk below the ground. Her son, Dennie Mead, is also buried at the same cemtery, but on the East side next to the fence. The name of the grave yard escapes me."
