Opal LaVada Isabell McGeorge was born March 20, 1920, in Monowi, Nebraska, the eighth child born to Marion and Amy Ruth (Thayer) McGeorge. She passed away on September 6, 2020. She was 100 years old.

After meeting at Tech High School, Fred Kriebs and Opal were married August 16, 1935. Fred and Opal had two children, Gerry Kriebs Saul (RC, deceased), of Lancaster, CA and Gene Kriebs (Lu Anne), of Omaha, NE. While spending her time as a housewife, Opal also helped Fred in his private business as an appliance repair man. Opal enjoyed many activities throughout her life including sewing, bowling, gardening, painting china and pictures, singing as a member of Sweet Adelines, babysitting her grandchildren and great-niece and participating in the Dancing Grannies. Opal was known to her grandchildren as a great cookie maker and they all fought over her famous deviled eggs.

Opal was preceded in death by her father, Marion, her mother, Amy and her siblings, Raymond, Lena, Alda, Alvin, Melvin, Royal and Edith.

Opal is survived by her daughter, Gerry Saul and son, Gene (Lu Anne) Kriebs, grandchildren, Ben (Dianne) Saul, Ryan (Carol) Saul, Russ Saul, Rich (Karen) Saul, Kristi Kriebs, Karra (David) Ewer, and Amy (Jeff) Allbaugh, great-grandchildren Matthew Saul, Cameron Saul, Joshua Saul, Hannah Saul, Kirstin Peyton, Paul (Jenny) Peyton, Ken (Amanda) Ewer and Kaylee Ewer, and great-great grandchildren: Olivia Lewis, Kennadi Peyton, Carter Peyton, and Eliana Ewer.
