Lois "Roe" Whitman, 84 of Poteau, Oklahoma (formerly of Paris, Arkansas) died 6-15-07.
She was born on July 20, 1922 in the Shaver Community near Paris, Arkansas to her parents, Mose and Grace Barnard Whitman.
She retired from Lady Fair Mill in Ratcliff, was co-owner of the Whitman Café in Caulksville in the 1950's and was a member of the Shaver Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law: Mickey and Cary Whitman; a brother, D.C. "Doc" Whitman, two grandchildren and spouses, Michele and Jason Ohler and Jacob and Leah Whitman; two step grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Burial was in the Caulksville Cemetery-Caulksville, Arkansas with the Rev. Vondel Davenport, officiating in the service.
Pallbearers were: Ashley Whitman, Duane Whitman, Chad Whitman, Jerry Chastain, Gary Kirchner, Charlie Smith, I.J. Riley, Danny Riley.
