Donald Ray Owenby, husband of JoAnn Neal Owenby, passed away at his residence.
He was the son of the late Edgar Alexander Owenby and Sally Rebecca Hicks Owenby. He was a retired truck driver from United Van Lines and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Owenby is survived by his sons: Edward Geouge, Jr. of Kannapolis, NC; Clint Manley of Cornelius, NC; Hubert Manley of Salisbury, NC; daughters: Cathy Manley of Mt. Holly, NC; Rachel Hammonds of Stanley, NC; Lucinda Geouge of Fort Mill, SC; Jennifer Manley of Matthews, NC; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Owenby was preceded in death by his son: James Daniel Manley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM, Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 PM, Saturday, September 12, 2020 prior to the service at Davenport Funeral Home.
