Dorothy was born November 10, 1912 in Beacon, NY to Julia and John Stanton. She attended Spring Street School and Beacon High School. She lived and worked in Beacon until 1938 when she married Francis Valentine and moved to Cold Spring, where she lived all her life. She enjoyed doing house chores, yard work, and tag sales.
She leaves a nephew, Edward Hellman; nieces, Jean Lyons, Nancy Condon, Ella Snoock, and Judy Burris; and her Godchild, Dorothy Stanton.
Friends may call at the Clinton Funeral Home, Parrott and Pine Sts., Cold Spring, NY, from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, August 25.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment following at Cold Spring Cemetery.
