A funeral mass for Geno Ugolini, 69, of Greenville will be at 2pm today at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mr. Ugolini died Friday at Delta Medical Center after a long illness.

Born in Greenville,(Census records from 1930 say Birmingham, Alabama) he was a retired chief operator for the Tennessee Gas company and a veteran of World War II. He was a communicant of St Joseph Catholic Church, and a member of the VFW and the Italian Club.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie "Nita"(Knight) Ugolini of Greenville; two daughters, Janet Rushing and Teresa Ellison, both of Greenville; three sisters, Anna Valencino and Julia Vaughan, both of Greenville, Eunice Vangarelli of Jessup, Pa; and a brother, Ray Ugolini of Greenville. He was preceded by his parents and 1 brother; Frank J. Ugolini

A rosary was said at 7:30pm lastnight at Boone-Wells Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Corcorcan and the Rev. Tom Buffington will be co-celebrants at the funeral mass. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville.
