Grace Viola Bickers, 62, Wheeler died at 8 p.m. Saturday in Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Services will be in Pulliam Funeral Home in Newton with Rev. Dallas Baer presiding. Burial will be in Headyville Cemetery.

Mrs. Bickers was born Aug. 23, 1920, in Vermilion County, the daughter of Sanford and LuGenty (Lemke) Alcorn. She married Clifford Bickers Feb. 11, 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1976.

She was employed by SEI of Newton and was a cook at Muddy School. She was a member of Wheeler Christian Church; treasurer of Wheeler; and a member of Royal Neighbors of America.

Survivors include three sons, Ron, Wheeler; Don, Montrose; Jesse, Noble; a step-brother, Gene Alcorn, Areola; three step-sisters, Mrs. Bob (Florence) Ellison, Arthur; Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Moore, Goshen, Ind.; Mrs. Paul (Mary) McAchran, Areola; her step-mother, Mrs. Reba Alcorn, Areola; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; a daughter; and an infant brother.
