He married Pamela Renee Helm on July 14, 1984 in Cleveland, TX and together they raised three children. Dan has worked in many capacities within the banking industry for 37 years in Texas, California, Arizona, Illinois, New York, and Ohio. He was instrumental in writing the Texas laws for wire transfers in the 1980s which are still used today. He was a mentor to many whose paths he crossed. He saw their potential and helped them to develop it.
Dan was always whistling without knowing it and had a book close by ready to read. He enjoyed refinishing furniture and he loved his family, especially being a Papaw.

He was preceded in death by a sister in 1954; father, Harmon Eugene Hoke; and mother, Gene Doerge Hoke.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children's Interstitial Lung Disease Foundation, a local animal shelter, or any charity of your choice.

The family requests that, due to health concerns, all visitors and attendees wear masks or face coverings.
