The widow Louisa (Robbins) Carson married Smith Grant Alexander on Apr. 14, 1861 in Parker Co, TX. Louisa's previous husband was Bartley Carson (1836-1859) and they had two sons: "M." Carson (no record after 1860) and Joseph Campbell Carson (1858-1931). Louisa and Smith had three children: Reuben Alexander (1862-1897); Cora (Alexander) Stimson (1864-1946); and Flora Alexander (1868-1880). The last record for Louisa is the 1880 Rains Co, TX census, enumerated June 18, 1880, with S.G. Alexander as head and his stepson Joe Carson at home. Smith married his third wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Lewis on June 13, 1895 in Rains Co, TX. Louisa presumably died between June 1880 and June 1895 and is likely buried in an unmarked grave in Elm Cemetery with Smith (also unmarked).
