Mrs. Maude Mae Casey Deason , homemaker and resident of Wynne, died Sunday, December 1, 2002 at the Cross Ridge Community Hospital in Wynne. She was 91 years of age and died following an extended illness.

Funeral services were conducted at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Chapel in Wynne at 2 p.m. on Tuesday with Rev. Arthur Kennedy, pastor of the Fondren Memorial Church in Wynne, officiating.

Mrs. Deason was born in Crowder, Missouri on March 27, 1911, the daughter of the late William T. and Margurite Webb Casey. She moved at an early age to the Woodruff County area where she attended school in Hilleman. She was married to George W. Deason who preceded her in death. After their marriage they moved to Cross County where they made their home the rest of their lives. Mrs. Deason was a homemaker and loved cooking, gardening and all of the home activities. She was a member of the East Side Baptist Church in Wynne.

Survivors include two sons; Edward and Burnis Deason, both of Wynne; one brother, Bill Casey of Wynne; one sister Ethel Bryant of Wynne; two grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and on son, Howard Deason.

The family request memorial be made to the East Side Baptist Church in Wynne.
