Ayers Clinton “Clint” Sansbury, Jr., 63, of Lexington, passed away, Friday, August 28, 2020, in Tennova Healthcare, Tullahoma, TN, due to COVID-19. Born in Darlington, he was the son of the late Ayers Clinton Sansbury, Sr. and Willow Mae Haynes Sansbury. He was a truck driver and enjoyed writing fiction. Clint loved the beach and the music of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. He especially loved the time he spent with his great nephews and step-grandchildren. He also served in the United States Air Force.

Surviving is his sister, Anne Sansbury (William) Shivers of Lexington; a niece, Melanie Shivers (Jacob) Garza of Beaumont, TX and 2 great nephews, J.C. and Lucas; 4 step-children, Thomas Ray (Betty) Demby, Jr. of Pageland, Donnie Neil (Morgan) Demby of Kershaw, William Gregory (Mary) Demby of Kershaw, Amanda Gail Demby of Cassatt; 8 step-grandchildren, Brooke, Emory, Katlyn, Lily, Logan, McKenzie, Michaela and Norah. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Gail Mangum Sansbury.

A graveside service was held at 5:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2020, in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery, Jefferson. Rev. Terry Corder officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

The family received friends following the burial in the church Fellowship Hall.
