Memorial services for Aaron J. “Pook” McNealy Jr., 66, who died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2013, at his residence following a lengthy illness, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Church of God in Christ, 589 Highway 61 North, with the Rev. Willie Washington officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home in Natchez.

Mr. McNealy had worked various jobs as a crane operator for United Steel and the Levy Scrap Yard.

He was preceded in death by his father, Aaron J. McNealy Sr.; maternal grandparents, Johnnie and Alice Johnson; and paternal grandparents, Alred and Estella McNealy.

Survivors include his mother Alice McNealy-Davis of New Orleans; stepmother, Ernestine McNealy of Los Angeles; four brothers, Alvin McNealy and Irvin McNealy, both of New Orleans, Kenneth McNealy of Los Angeles and Fabian Bakari of Atlanta; five sisters, Bertha O’Neal of New Orleans, Cynthia Kumaraswamy of Fort Worth, Texas, Audrey Houston and Ardina Houston of, both of Los Angeles and Alvita Williams of Atlanta; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
