Laura Ann Davis Nolen was born on Nov. 26, 1935, in Alba, Texas to the late Raymond Earl and Mona Mae Pope Davis. She married Earl Emil Nolen in 1961, and he preceded her in death on June 2, 2013. Mrs. Nolen enjoyed raising cattle, horses, and goats, crocheting and sewing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was of the Church of Christ faith. Mrs. Nolen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Gerald and Steve Carter; daughter, Sandra Holt; siblings, Gerald Davis and Rita Avery; and a grandson, Joshua Dean Nolen.
