Funeral services for Frank E Jones, 63,of Keswick, were held Sunday afternoon, July 20, in the North English Christian Church, with the Rev. Lynn Rumer of Thornburg, assisted by the Rev. James Loyd of North English, in charge of burial was the Bailey Cemetery, southwest of Keswick. Mr. Jones passed away Thursday at the Keokuk County hospital. He had been a patient there just a short time following a heart attack. At the time of his illness he had been the manager of the Powell Furniture Store in Keswick. He was born Dec. 21, 1894, in the Springdale community near Keswick, the son of Ransom and Ida Mae Bell Jones. He attended school at Keswick. On March 31, 1915 he was married to Hazel Florence Marshall, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Marshall, near South English. They farmed most of their married life, but did live in North English several years, while their daughter was in high school. He was a member of the North English Christian church, serving as an elder at the time of his death. He was also a member of the Oddfellow lodge, number 414 at Keswick. He is survived by his wife; his daughter, Mrs. H C Goode, of Des Moines; five sons, Charles E Jones, of Phoenix, Arizona; Norval Jones, of Rockwell City; Howard R Jones, of Ottumwa; Dale W Jones of Deep River; Floyd M Jones, of Des Moines, a brother Myrle Jones, of Estherville; several grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Robert Keener, Earl Bair, Howard Higgins, Wayne Denison, Russell Byers, and Sherman Moore.
