Thelma Killion Grisham, 88, Springfield, MO, was born the daughter of the late James Irvin Tackett and Letha Cansada (Hensley) Tackett on May 21, 1919, in Elijah, MO, and departed this life September 8, 2007, in Springfield, MO.
She was united in marriage May 21, 1937, in Elijah, MO, to Roy W. Killion who preceded her in death March 21, 1978.
She was united in marriage January 12, 1988, in West Plains, MO, to James J. Grisham who preceded her in death November 27, 1988.
She is survived by her daughters Wanda (& Bob) Bowling and Beverly (& Michael) Moore of Springfield, MO; Mary Killion of Mountain View, MO; sons-in-law, Richard Sigler of Springfield, MO; and T.J. White of Gainesville, MO; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Killion; step-sons, John Grisham and Donnie Grisham; granddaughter, Tanya White; and two grandsons, Leroy and Edwin Killion.
She had been a member of the Church of Christ since an early age.
The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Mercy Villa for their loving care. There will be a memorial at Mercy Villa Nursing Home, Springfield, MO, in the Hope living room on September 13.
Family visitation is today in the funeral home. Funeral services will be September 11, 2007, in the Elijah Church of Christ. Burial will be in Elijah Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
