Fred Sherrill, 85, of Evensville, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020, at his home with his family by his side. He was born July 17, 1934, in Cumberland County, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Sherrill; parents, Gaines and Hattie Sherrill; sisters, Ollie Tollet and Carrie Smith; and brothers, Rainey Sherrill, Rodger Sherrill and Arnold Sherrill.
She is survived by his children, David Sherrill and Randy (Stephanie) Sherrill, of Evensville, Wanda (James) Williams, of Spring City, Linda (Eddie) Tanner, of Crossville, Tenn., and Brenda Harris, of Spring City; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Frank (Jessie) Sherrill, of Spring City; Sister-in-law, Mable Sherrill, of McMinnville, Tenn.; and several other extended family members.
Due to the corona virus (COVID-19) pandemic, out of concern for public health, and in accordance with government guidelines, a graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. EST on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Dunn Cemetery in Pikeville, Tenn., with Bro. Phillip Averrette officiating.
