Marie Todd, 93, of Belvidere, formerly of LaFayette, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at her residence.
Born July 24, 1909, in Edwards to Howard and Amber Dawson LaFollette, she married Archie Todd on Aug. 20, 1930, in Victoria. He died Nov. 8, 1969, in Rockford.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Duane; two sisters; four brothers; and three grandchildren.
Surviving are six daughters, Beverly (and Steve) Grant of Wyanet, Betty (and Roy) Cutshaw and Maxine Rednour, both of Belvidere, Marilyn Friedman of Temecula, Calif., Elva Smith of Littleton, Colo., and Martha (and Fred) Dozal of Rockford.
She had been a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service.
She was a member of the LaFayette American Legion and the Toulon Historical Society.
She also was the author of a book called ''From Frakers Grove to LaFayette.''
Burial will be in LaFayette Cemetery.
