Collins, GA -Jack Louie Brazell, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.

The Tattnall County native lived his entire life in his home county. After a lengthy career with Canoochee EMC he retired to spend more time engaged in his favorite hobbies, fishing, farming, and hunting. One of his hobbies, hunting, led him to establish the Brazell’s Creek Hunting Club. Although retired life fit him well, he did not sit idle. Louie would often put on rodeo events that would draw people from all over. In fact, he brought the first rodeo event ever to Tattnall County! He was also an avid member of the National Rifle Association and dedicated member of Light House Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Okie Brazell; a brother, Merle Brazell; his chosen parents, S.P. and Sadie Alexander.

Left to cherish memories of a lifetime together are his wife of 58 years, Brenda Brazell of Reidsville; a son, Louie (Ruthy) Brazell, Jr. of Collins; a daughter, Jennifer Brazell Malone of Reidsville; three grandchildren, Justin (Jessica) Brazell, Jenna Dasher, and Marlee (Dalton) Powell; a great-granddaughter, Jaylee Kate Brazell. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 19th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Low Country Cremation & Burial in Reidsville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 20th beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of the funeral home with Bro. Greg Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored by donations to Tattnall Cares, PO BOX 2356, Reidsville, GA 30453, or the National Rifle Association Foundation, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030.
