Ronnie L. Hardy, 64, of Benton, KY passed away on August 21, 2020 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.

Ronnie was born in Decatur, IL on December 16, 1955 to the late Jack Hardy and Lona Shampine Hardy. On April 21, 1977 Ronnie married the love of his life, Anita Mitchuson Hardy. Over the next 43 years, Ronnie and Anita were blessed with the ability to watch their family grow and expand. The two of them went on to have three children and six grandchildren. Ronnie retired after 27 years of working as both a carpenter and in maintenance for the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Service at Camp Currie. He was outgoing, would do anything for anyone, and a man of many talents and hobbies. He enjoyed spending his time tending to his vegetable gardens, hunting for arrowheads, carpentry, and playing one of his many guitars. He was a long time member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. More than anything else, his grandchildren were his world and they always had him wrapped around their fingers.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Mitchuson Hardy; one daughter, Jackalyn Hardy Inglish of Benton, KY; two sons, Jamie Hardy of Nashville, TN, Justin Hardy of Benton, KY; and six grandchildren, Maci Inglish, Riley Inglish, Blake Casteel, Braxton Davis, Jaden Hardy, and Ethan Norwood.

He was preceded in death by one infant sister; and his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at the Lady Cemetery located in LBL.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home.

Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
