Herbert Skiff, 17, Former Davenport Youth, Is Drowned
Herbert Skiff, 17, former Davenport youth and better known in that city as "Buster", was drowned yesterday morning at Quincy, Ill., when he was attacked by cramps while swimming. The body had not been recovered late today. Skiff left Davenport a year ago and secured employment on a government boat at Quincy.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Alice Mains of Rock Island, and by a sister, Miss Lillian Skiff of Chicago.
