Leonard Byard Holt, Jr. aka Lenny, Bug, Breeze May 29th, 1948 - January 9th, 2020 Born in Cincinnati, Ohio survived by his wife Lynn, stepson Christopher (Beatrice) Connolly, step-grandson James Connolly surviving siblings are Roger (Debra) Holt, Mark (Marilyn) Holt, Sharon (Ralph) Starr, Rhonda Hall, Eric Holt, Judy Mullins, and James Holt. B.A. Business and Marketing, Concordia University 1967-1970 U.S. Army 25th Division Artillery (Tropic of Lighting), Vietnam War Veteran Lenny had a distinguished career in tax, marketing, and management during his career with IRS, he was instrumental in the development of Electronic Tax Filing from concept to execution. Lenny continued a second career with Tax software companies, attaining the title of COO (Chief Operations Officer) Member of the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club D.C. Chapter (Road Captain), his club organized the first Rolling Thunder event in Washington D.C. to bring awareness to the issues concerning Prisoner of Wars Lenny was a substitute Teacher (grades 6 thru 8) Lenny was a member of Mensa Lenny had a love of books, fine wine, motorcycles, sports cars, and a vast knowledge of business He loved History, especially the Civil War, World War II, philosophy, and politics Everyone he met or knew remembers his engaging conversations. He loved deep discussions. Strong willed, yet humble, Lenny possessed many characteristics that made him such a complex intellectual, with a good heart and a clear sense of what was right in the world. Husband, brother, father, grandpa, friend, teacher, mentor, businessman ... whatever role Lenny played in the many lives he touched, we're sure he will be sorely missed by all.
