Loretta was the 3rd child of Edwin and M Jane Durham. When she was 3 years old her young mother died. Her father took the family (two brothers: Eugene and LaRue) to Kansas where they got land in Stafford County. Her father remarried and had 7 more children. In 1880 census all are living together in/near St John [west of hyway 281 near Radium]. She married at 19, move to Washington state. She has 10 children and dies in Spokane at 65.
